Deanside Village Backs the Bears
Deanside Village, a master-planned estate from Moremac Property Group, will back the Burnside Heights Bears in 2023 and 2024 as a major sponsor of the club competing in the Essendon District Football League.

Just minutes away from Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve, the Bears home ground, Deanside Village is located at 624-648 Neale Road and consists of 1,100 dwellings with land, house and land and townhomes available.
Described as family club with players ranging from under-8s boys and girls to senior men and women, the Bears are a seamless fit to partner with a Moremac development who take pride in engaging with communities in which they build.

“Sponsoring the Bears is a really effective way of showcasing to new residents the community that exists right on their doorstep, and to encourage participation and engagement with the local sports club.”
Bears President Justin Peagram said the support of Deanside Village for the club who completed their tenth year competing in the Essendon District Football League (EDFL) in 2022 will be invaluable as they seek to grow their member and supporter base into their 12th season.
“The club is very grateful to have Deanside Village on board for the next two years in the EDFL as a Platinum Partner,” said Peagram.
“It’s an exciting time for the club and we look forward to promoting their fantastic development to our own community. We can’t wait to welcome current and future residents of Deanside Village into the Bears family.”
Moremac is committed to fostering connection within its communities, not only through sponsorships but also hosting events to bring the neighbours together, including food truck and coffee activations, outdoor cinema events, community festivals and a range of other complimentary experiences for residents.
A recent example includes the Deanside Village community gathering on Sunday, 11 December to celebrate the year with a festive gathering featuring entertainers, live music, lawn games and complimentary food and beverages for residents.
As Major sponsor of the Bears, Deanside Village will appear on the playing kit, around the ground and on club apparel, and supporting the club across digital channels.
