Moremac Property Group (Moremac) has continued its expansion into Queensland with a second significant purchase, Beaumoor, a 250-hectare site at 28 Alice Street in Beaudesert, planned for over 900 lots following a strong sales result of the of its first Queensland development, South Place in Deebing Heights.

Beaumoor is within the Scenic Rim Region and one of the fastest growing Local Government Areas in Southeast Queensland, contributing to 12.1% of the state’s population growth in 2020-21 per the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office.

The Beaudesert site will be developed into a new community centrally located within walking distance to hospitals, schools, services and entertainment, making it ideal for future residents.

A significant portion of the site will remain as a conservation reserve complemented by over 150 hectares of open green space and parkland, as well as a bike and pedestrian network providing easy access to the Beaudesert locality and surrounding services.

Moremac expects demand to increase in its new Queensland developments following the State Government’s commitment to doubling the first homeowner grant to $30,000 until mid-2025 in an effort to encourage home ownership.

“The central location and amenity of our new Queensland project, Beaumoor in Beaudesert, stands on its own as an attractive prospect for land buyers, combined with the State Government’s boost to the first homeowner grant will make it all the more sought after,” said Andrew Brimblecombe, General Manager of Queensland at Moremac.

“There’s a lot of demand throughout southeast Queensland for well-located master-planned projects, so with two significant sites secured we’re confident our Queensland expansion strategy is on the right track.”

The Beaudesert acquisition follows $6.3 million dollars in sales on day one of selling the first stage of South Place, Moremac’s first Queensland project in Deebing Heights in the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area.

“We received significant interest from buyers since launching the project in 2023, and this demand has continued into 2024,” added Brimblecombe.

“The results following our first sales release indicate a real appetite for generously sized lots, and we look forward to providing further stock in future releases to assist in addressing the housing shortage in southeast Queensland.”

South Place will incorporate over 900 homes, a new retail centre, a proposed primary school, over 40 hectares of public green space, parks, and an extensive bike and pedestrian network.

With a proven track record in building successful and thriving communities Moremac appreciates the opportunity to provide a solution to meet the growing population demands in South East Queensland and create inspiring places for people to live, work and enjoy.

It’s anticipated construction on the new homes at South Place will begin in the coming months.
